In Gamer Insiders we have followed the steps of Agent 47 since its inception, from that first installment ‘Hitman: Codename 47’ that caught us forever thanks to its combination of adventure, action, stealth and improvisation. And of course 47, one of those protagonists of few words that are able to conquer you only with his image.
Since then the adventures and works of 47 have taken us all over the world, exploring complex scenarios and liquidating characters of the most varied with total freedom and the most original forms. It has been a few missions and many good times, so many that we have always been very clear what we expect from a new delivery and we never liked that IOI started working with Square Enix. Our suspicions were confirmed and although they provided some good things the last deliveries outraged the purest features of the series.
We are pleased that Hakan Abrak, head of the IO Interactive studio, has officially announced that they are again independent, and what is even better: they retain all rights to the Hitman franchise after the negotiations. In May Square Enix announced the separation due to losses in its fiscal year.
With full control over the direction of the series is a good time to re-orient it correctly, really improve it beyond the mere commercial, and although the head of the study also states that at this decisive point are open to find partners and new Collaborators should not forget what really makes the games of the most famous killer in the video game shine.
