SEGA’s new project based on ‘The Fist of the North Star’ is love at first sight for fans of the manganime: an artistic section absolutely faithful to the work of Buronson and Tetsuo Hara, a technical deployment that has the touch of the team behind the saga ‘Yakuza’ and hordes of enemies ahead with which Kenshiro will dye the scenarios in red.
What more could you want? For starters, the title, known in Japan as ‘Hokuto Ga Gotoku’, adds interesting mechanics from the ‘Yakuza’ saga to the usual formula of the brave consoleros without sacrificing a bit the explicit repertoire of techniques of its protagonist, which you can see in all its glory in its new trailer.
In addition, pressure point techniques have been adapted to the game mechanics through a QTE system. But that’s not all: in ‘Hokuto Ga Gotoku’ we can alternate classic skills like a Burst that will increase our power, or enhance specific aspects through the Yadoyado talismans, with all kinds of Finishers. You can crush the buttons or refine your game a little more and get more spectacular results.
Now, the touch of the Yakuza Team is not only reflected in its gameplay: the game will allow us to alternate the combats with the exploration, we will have access to a classic console with the classic games of ‘The Fist of the North Star’ and we will even have to run a club, personally taking care of the most problematic clientele.
Omae wa mou shindeiru!
Undated in the West, Kenshiro will unleash his wrath on ‘Hokuto Ga Gotoku’ from March 8, 2018 on the Japanese PS4.
