Sega has released a new update for Sonic Mania, version 1.03, which corrects some general errors and a specific one of the version of Nintendo Switch, related to the Home button.
In its original version it took more than normal to return to the main menu when we pressed the Home button while we played. The problem was remarkable enough for some users to believe that their Nintendo Switch units were defective; now, fortunately, it has been solved.
Another new feature that adds the patch is the addition of a specific button to become Super Sonic. Previously, after collecting seven emeralds of chaos in minigames hidden in each level, players could become the invincible Super Sonic collecting 50 coins and pressing the jump button twice. Now you can do the same thing by pressing the Y button (in the Switch version).
Sonic Mania, created by Christian Whitehead, Headcannon and PagodaWest Games in collaboration with Sega, is available on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC.
